My Story
Hi, I’m Elizabeth—an operations and program strategist with a heart for mission-driven work and a love for building systems that actually make people’s jobs easier. I spent over 15 years in nonprofit leadership, scaling national programs, supporting incredible teams, and navigating everything from board meetings to backcountry trips. Now, through Wander and Waypoints Consulting, I help organizations find their footing during times of change—whether that’s stepping in as interim leadership, building out onboarding systems, enhancing measurement plans, or coaching new managers into their confidence.
My work is rooted in a belief that people and structure can—and should—work together. I’m passionate about aligning strategy with values, creating tools that teams will actually use, and helping leaders feel more grounded and supported in the work they love. I’ve trained hundreds of staff and volunteers, built national curricula, and led cross-functional teams across finance, HR, and program operations.
When I’m not collaborating with mission-focused teams, you can usually find me planning my next trip, hiking or biking somewhere beautiful, or skiing (every month since 2013—yes, even in August). I believe in the power of meaningful exploration—whether it’s through travel, the outdoors, or the kind of work that helps people and organizations grow with purpose.
